Good day, if you are wondering, “What is he talking about? Saved from what?” then this is a message for you.

As we see in Today’s reading from Acts, Paul and Barnabas were sharing and spreading the Good News.

We see how the early prophets were telling about the coming, the life, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus.

Psalms 2:1-12

Psalms 6:1-7;17

Psalms 16:16

We also see in today’s reading how the Jews even at this point rejected it, which as Paul and Barnabas continued, "It was required that God's Word be spoken first of all to you, the Jews. But seeing that you want no part of it - you've made it quite clear that you have no taste or inclination for eternal life - the door is open to all the outsiders. And we're on our way through it, following orders, doing what God commanded when he said, I've set you up as light to all nations. You'll proclaim salvation to the four winds and seven seas!" We also hear that we are saved by Believing in Jesus: 37 But the One God raised up - no dust and ashes for him! 38 I want you to know, my very dear friends, that it is on account of this resurrected Jesus that the forgiveness of your sins can be promised. 39 He accomplishes, in those who believe, everything that the Law of Moses could never make good on. But everyone who believes in this raised-up Jesus is declared good and right and whole before God. 40 "Don't take this lightly. You don't want the prophet's sermon to describe you: 41 Watch out, cynics; Look hard - watch your world fall to pieces. I'm doing something right before your eyes That you won't believe, though it's staring you in the face.

Are you Saved? Have you heard the Good News (when you hear people talking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ – “Gospel” = “Good News”). When you hear about Evangelists, Evangelists carry/bring the gospel to places where it was previously unknown – they “Spread the Good News”.

If you would like to start your life long journey with Jesus (life long being eternal in length, not just our brief time spent on earth), then let me help you to pray a little prayer to ask Jesus into your heart and into your life. You will find out it is about a relationship with Jesus that will not only glorify Him, but it will help you to become who He has planned for you to be, making all the necessary changes.

Knowing your sins are forgiven and you are ready for heaven is as simple as the following steps:

A. Admit you have sinned.....

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8).

B. Believe in Jesus.....

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

C. Confess and leave your sin.....

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

You might want to use the following prayer as a guide:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I'm a sinner, and I'm sorry for my sin. Thank You for dying on the Cross for me. Please forgive me of my sin, and accept me as Your child. I desire to live for You, Jesus. Amen.
